Georgia Military College linebacker Brandon Golson committed to the Arizona Wildcats. Golson was once committed to South Carolina and had interest in schools like Texas A&M before verballing to Rich Rodriguez's program.
The strange saga of JUCO linebacker Brandon Golson has taken him to Tucson. The Georgia Military College LB committed to the Arizona Wildcats this morning.
Golson is an outside linebacker at around 6-2/6-3, and 215-220 pounds. He's ranked three stars on Rivals and had interest in schools like Texas A&M and Tennessee. 247 Sports considers him a top five junior college outside linebacker and a top 40 junior college recruit.
Here's his highlight reel.
What you can see from his highlight reel is how quick he is to the football and his initial motor. It remains to be seen if he can do more than pass rush, but early signs are encouraging.
Golson was committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks earlier this summer, but apparently it was never a formal commitment. It's hard to say what exactly transpired, but I have to imagine the coaches probably wanted a solid verbal and never got one. So he ended up decommitting and he moved onto the Wildcats.
