Kisima Jagne is the type of recruit the Colorado Buffaloes could use right now, and his commitment is a welcome sight for a program looking for welcome sights. Colorado has been struggling to land big names and win recruiting battles with the best of the Pac-12. Jagne had offers from both Arizona and Washington schools, plus places like Oklahoma State, Michigan State and Purdue.
At 6'5", 230, The young defensive end from Arizona has a lot of explosive ability, and he does show in his tape that he can shed blockers, pursue from the backside, and can play extremely solid against running backs. His pass rushing skills probably need more testing and greater practice. Nevertheless, there is definite talent that could develop into a solid rush edge presence against Pac-12 offenses.
Here are the overall rankings for Jagne from the various recruiting services.
-
Rivals: 26th best strongside defensive end, 8th best recruit from Arizona
-
ESPN: 52nd best defensive end, 6th best recruit from Arizona
- Scout: 49th best defensive end
- 247Sports: 33rd best weakside defensive end, 8th best recruit in Arizona
