Pac-12 Bowl Lineup: New Mexico Gets Its Chance To Shine

Sat. Dec. 15: Gildan New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, 10 AM PT, ESPN: The New Mexico Bowl didn't get a Pac-12 representative last season after signing a deal to feature any of the last conference bowl qualifiers in 2012 and 2013. It probably would have if USC hadn't been bowl ineligible and knocked everyone up a spot. This time around, here's a good shot they'll get ta good team this season.

Sat. Dec. 22: MAACO Las Vegas Bowl, 12:30 PM PT, ESPN: This bowl moves up to daytime weekend programming! Interesting strategy, but one that's kind of welcome. Who wants to spend their night in Vegas watching a football game in that cold UNLV stadium when they could be having an all-night wild time in the Strip?

Thu. Dec. 27: Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl in San Diego, 6:45 PM PST ESPN

Fairly certain this bowl is going to stay in a late West Coast friendly time slot in the year 3012.

Sat. Dec. 29: Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco, 12:15 PM PT, ESPN/ESPN2

The Hunger Bowl moves up in the lineup, which means our chances of watching a sub-.500 Pac football squad get shellacked on New Year's Eve have greatly subsided.

Sat. Dec. 29: Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, 3:45 PM PT, ESPN

The game will still be on the same day, but it moves up just a little bit in the schedule to let the Insight Bowl slide into its time slot.

Mon. Dec. 31: Hyundai Sun Bowl in El Paso, Noon MST (11 AM PST) CBS

Doubt the strangest tradition in college football (New Year's Eve in El Paso!) will move from the premium real estate they currently hold.

Tue. Jan. 1: Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO, 2 PM PDT ESPN

No changes here. That's for the future.
