Game of the Week - Arizona State at Washington State - Thursday 7:30 PM ESPN
AK - Looking way more forward to this game. WSU is fighting for bowl eligibility and their offense is starting to gel. ASU looks like a juggernaut at home and a puppy on the road. Bring on the points! #PACTION
JF - Technically I think USC at OSU is better on paper, but there are a lot of things that I love about this game. Washington State desperately needs wins to have a shot at going to a bowl and this is one of the best chances left on their schedule as Arizona State never seems to play well in Pullman when it is cold and it should be on Halloween so I think it could be a big equalizer. Also, it's on Halloween in Pullman so the environment should be chilly and awesome.
2. USC at Oregon State - Friday 6 PM ESPN2
AK - This is the part of the script in which everyone starts believing in Ed Orgeron and the Beavers go up by four touchdowns in Corvallis just because that's what they do against Trojans.
JF - USC's defense is playing lights out, but they will get a big challenge in Sean Mannion and Brandin Cooks - can they contain them? They will have to, because their offense isn't going to be able to compete in a shootout on the road, but I think their defense will be good enough to at least slow them down, so I think this will be a tight contest with a lot at stake for both teams. Like Avinash, I agree that the Trojans always seem to struggle in Corvallis, but I think they will dominate the Beavers along the frontlines enough to keep it low-scoring, but close.
3. Arizona at Cal - Saturday 12:30 PM Pac-12 Network
AK - I mean Arizona struggles on the road, so this could be a game. But Cal is literally a broken ship right now. Bears have one or two more shots at getting their second win.
JF - The Bears are bad, almost offensively bad on defense so this seems like it should be an easy win for Arizona, but not so fast. The Bears have enough talent at receiver and an effective enough scheme to go toe-to-toe with at least one Pac-12 team that they shouldn't this year and I think the Wildcats could be that team. There is no way that they are stopping Ka'Deem Carey and B.J. Denker on the ground, but I think there is a chance that they can score enough through the air to make it interesting.
4. Colorado at UCLA - Saturday 4:30 PM Fox Sports 1
AK - Poor Buffs. UCLA will show them no mercy.
JF - One would think that this would be the perfect matchup for the frustrated Bruins to take out their anger after two-straight tough games at Stanford and Oregon, but maybe they are actually worn out and overlooking an improved Colorado squad. Then again... probably not.
