Pac-12 Fantasy Player of the Week - Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
Mariota has been the conference's best fantasy player this year (more on that later), but he always came up short of being Player of the Week, but fittingly, he gets it the final week of the season with a 49-point outburst against Oregon State.
Surprise of the week - Kenny Lawler WR Cal
Lawler has been a solid receiver for the Bears all season, but exploded for more than 40 points against BYU for a pleasant surprise for owners who started him.
Disappointment of the week - Brett Hundley QB UCLA
Hundley had maybe his worst game of the season against Stanford, disappointing owners like me who were relying on him in the championship game of their league.
Pac-12 Fantasy Player of the Year - Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
Mariota's combination of putting up big touchdown numbers through the air and on the ground with almost no interceptions is the perfect recipe for the perfect fantasy player.
Fantasy surprise of the Year - Royce Freeman RB Oregon
Big things were expected for the true freshman who was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but I don't think anyone saw him becoming a Top 10 scorer and the Pac-12's top-scoring running back. He actually was the final pick of the draft in the Pacific Takes Fantasy League.
Fantasy disappointment of the year - Byron Marshall RB Oregon
Marshall came into the season as the only returning elite fantasy scorer in the conference at running back and flew off draft boards, but the emergence of Freeman pushed him to receiver and he did not get close to matching his 2013 fantasy output. He was still a standout for the Ducks in his new role, but it did greatly diminish his fantasy value.
