Pac-12 Focus Top 25 Week Three: USC falls out of the Top 10

Five Pac-12 teams make the Top 25.

Winslow Townson

1. Florida State 2-0

2. Oregon 3-0

The Ducks leave their non-conference flying high after cruising to an easy win over Wyoming. Their pass defense will get a nice early test against Washington State next and their College Football Playoff chances look great with how uncertain the rest of the Pac-12 looks.

3. Auburn 2-0

4. Alabama 3-0

5. Oklahoma 3-0

6. Baylor 3-0

7. LSU 3-0

8. Texas A&M 3-0

9. Notre Dame 3-0

10. Mississippi 3-0

11. Wisconsin 1-1

12. TCU 2-0

13. Oklahoma State 2-1

14. Michigan State 1-1

15. South Carolina 2-1

16. Georgia 1-1

17. Clemson 1-1

18. USC 2-1

The air really got taken out of the Trojans by getting run over in Boston. As bad as the loss was, the Trojans' win over Stanford means that they are at the top of the secondary Pac-12 heap right now.

19. Stanford 2-1

20. BYU3-0

21. UCLA 3-0

The Bruins got a much-needed win against Texas, but it doesn't mean much for their national prowess considering BYU went down to Austin last week and destroyed the Longhorns. The Bruins are going to hang around back here until they face off with Oregon in mid-October.

22. Missouri 3-0

23. Kansas State 2-0

24. Arizona State 3-0

I came late to the ranking Arizona State party and I'm still uneasy about being there now that Taylor Kelly's status is uncertain for a while. The Sun Devils just don't look like a Top 25 team to me if they don't have Kelly.

25. Nebraska 3-0
