According to Pullman police reports, three WSU football players were arrested early Sunday morning. Daniel Ekuale, Theron West and an unidentified 17 year-old were all arrested and released after being issued citations.
Pullman Police officers responded to a bar just off the WSU campus after being called by the bar management. At about 1:00 AM Sunday they found Ekuale and a 17 year-old male in the bar. They both identified themselves as members of the football team. Pullman police will not release the name of the 17 year-old because he is a minor. According to police there was a fake ID involved. Both players were cited for being minors frequenting a tavern and released. Charges were forwarded to the Whitman County Prosecutors' Office.
Later in the morning officers responded to a domestic dispute at a Pullman apartment complex. There police witnessed Theron West speeding through the parking lot and narrowly avoiding hitting an officer with his vehicle. West was later arrested and released for reckless driving. He was not involved in the domestic dispute, but was trying to leave the scene to avoid being associated with it, according to Pullman Police.
West is listed as the co-starting running back for the Cougars and has 27 yards rushing in two games. Ekuale is the Cougars second-team defensive tackle.
