2016 4* SF Keith Smith commits to Oregon

The Ducks have landed their first 2016 commit.

Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks secured their first class of 2016 commit on Friday, as four-star small forward Keith Smith committed to the team, per The Oregonian.

Smith was originally slated to play for Steve Fisher at San Diego State, but re-opened his recruitment last week. It appears that Smith chose SDSU too quickly, and wanted to take a second look at Oregon.

That was all Dana Altman & staff needed to hear, as not even a week went by before Smith committed to the Ducks.

Smith had also garnered interest from Cal, Arizona, and Oregon State, along with a few non Pac-12 schools.

Smith comes to the Ducks from the famed Rainier Beach High School in Seattle. Rainier Beach is the alma mater of Jamal Crawford, Doug Christie, and Nate Robinson. Washington Huskies class of 2015 member Dejounte Murray is Smith's teammate at Rainier Beach right now.

Smith is a very nice foundation towards a solid class of 2016 for Altman. His most recent highlight video is below.
