Four-star 2016 guard JaQuori McLaughlin commits to Oregon State

Wayne Tinkle continues to impress on the recruiting trail.

In Wayne Tinkle's first full offseason of recruiting at Oregon State, he landed a top 20 class consisting of Tres Tinkle, Stephen Thompson Jr. and Drew Eubanks. Those guys will all take the court for the Beavers next month when the season opens.

Meanwhile, Wayne Tinkle and his staff are already laying the groundwork for another great class in 2016 with Friday's news that JaQuori McLaughlin would be heading to Corvallis.

McLaughlin, from Gig Harbor, Washington, is a top 100 player in the class of 2016, per 247Sports. He chose Oregon State over Utah and Wisconsin, among others.

McLaughlin originally committed to Oregon State in September 2013, but re-opened his recruitment after Craig Robinson was fired. Then, in November 2014, he committed to Washington before re-opening his recruitment once again in May. When Scout's Josh Gershon asked him why he decided to commit to the Beavers, McLaughlin said the following.

"The biggest reason is the people that are going to be there when I’m there, I love the coaching staff; I love coach Tinkle and have built a great trust with him. I really like the players and think playing with them could be a really good thing"

Below is a video of McLaughlin from the Las Vegas Classic this summer. The thing that most stood out to me is how quick he is off the dribble. He has top notch court vision and will fit in very nicely with the Beavers.
