Pacific Takes Top 25 10/10: Only two Pac-12 teams left in rankings

Washington slips a couple of spots even after demolishing Oregon.

NCAA Football: UCLA at Arizona State Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

1. Alabama 6-0

2. Clemson 6-0

3. Ohio State 5-0

4. Michigan 6-0

5. Texas A&M 6-0

6. Washington 6-0 - The Huskies couldn’t have played the first half of their schedule much better. They outscored the previous North powers of Oregon and Stanford by nearly 100 points the past two weeks. They look to be in pretty good shape for a Playoff spot if they can win out against a questionable Pac-12 field. The problem for the Huskies now (and why I dropped them from 4 to 6, is their wins over Stanford and Oregon aren’t as impressive as they could be nationally.

7. Louisville 4-1

8. Baylor 5-0

9. Nebraska 5-0

10. Wisconsin 4-1

11. Tennessee 5-1

12. Miami 4-1

13. Mississippi 3-2

14. Auburn 4-2

15. Florida 4-1

16. Houston 5-1

17. Virginia Tech 4-1

18. Oklahoma 3-2

19. West Virginia 4-0

20. Utah 5-1 - The Utes are just doing their grind-it-out thing and hanging back as maybe the only Pac-12 team other than Washington with a hair of a chance at the Playoffs. They aren’t flashy, but might be the conference’s most-complete team after the Huskies right now.

21. LSU 3-2

22. Arkansas 4-2

23. Boise State 5-0

24. Georgia 4-2

25. TCU 4-2
