Pac-12 bowl projections 10/26: Colorado to Foster Farms Bowl

The Washington and the mountain schools take the conference’s top bowls.

Rose Bowl - Washington vs. Ohio State

I really want to pick the Huskies to run the table and get to the Playoffs, but their schedule has been so light thus far, I just can’t pull the trigger yet. I will give them the Pac-12 though and their first trip to the Rose Bowl for the first time in more than 15 years against a big time opponent.

Alamo Bowl - Washington State vs. Oklahoma State

The Cougars are playing just about as well as Washington right now and should lose only one, maybe two more games with how easily their schedule breaks down until the final two weeks of the season. Bringing Mike Leach back to Texas with a 9-3 Washington State team would be a great draw for the Alamo Bowl.

Holiday Bowl - Utah vs. Minnesota

The Utes have found an offense and are now the slight favorites in the South. This would be a nice dropping spot if they can’t pull out the Pac-12 Championship Game.

Foster Farms Bowl - Colorado vs. Northwestern

Tempted to put Stanford here, but they were here recently and I think the bowl would be better off picking a USC or Colorado team with a better record who has never played in this bowl.

Sun Bowl - Stanford vs. Pittsburgh

The Cardinal are reeling, but they probably have 2-3 wins left on their schedule and will be a decent mid-level bowl candidate. I will give them the nod over USC here.

Las Vegas Bowl - USC vs. Boise State

I think the Trojans could make a nice run in the South, but the hole they dug themselves early on will drop them down the bowl order. Getting back to Las Vegas again will be a disappointment, but not a complete disaster.

Cactus Bowl - Arizona State vs. Colorado State

Not sure which one, but the Sun Devils will win a game and make their home bowl again.
