Pacific Takes Top 25 10/3: Washington moves into Top 5

The Huskies take Stanford’s spot in the Top 5.

NCAA Football: Stanford at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports
  1. Alabama 5-0
  2. Clemson 5-0
  3. Ohio State 4-0
  4. Washington 5-0 - It has been 15 long years since the Huskies have been up in this territory and it is deserved after a 44-6 bashing of Stanford. The Huskies have shown they are going to live up to the hype in 2016 and are now the clearcut Playoff contender from the Pac-12.
  5. Michigan 5-0
  6. Houston 5-0
  7. Texas A&M 5-0
  8. Tennessee 5-0
  9. Louisville 4-1
  10. Baylor 5-0
  11. Miami 4-0
  12. Nebraska 5-0
  13. Stanford 3-1 - The Cardinal’s loss to Washington couldn’t have been much worse, but still, it is just a loss at the best team in their conference, so you can only know them so much.
  14. Wisconsin 4-1
  15. Mississippi 3-2
  16. Auburn 3-2
  17. North Carolina 4-1
  18. Florida 4-1
  19. Colorado 4-1 - Colorado avoided a classic hangover in a major way and destroyed Oregon State. They proved at least that they are a team that can now blow out power five conference opponents and that’s not an easy thing to do these days.

UCLA 3-2 - Don’t fall asleep on the Bruins yet. Their defense locked up an Arizona offense that gave Washington fits a week before. They are the most complete team in the Pac-12 South.

  1. Boise State 4-0
  2. LSU 3-2
  3. Oklahoma 2-2
  4. West Virginia 4-0
  5. Arkansas 4-1
