Pac-12 bowl projections 11/16: Utah to Rose Bowl and USC to Orange Bowl

A lot of shake ups in our bowl projections after USC upsets Washington

NCAA Football: Utah at Arizona State Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Rose Bowl - Utah vs. Michigan

I’m calling the Pac-12 to Utah right now. They can beat Oregon and Colorado and Washington will lose the Apple Cup, pitting them against Washington State in the Pac-12 Championship Game in a game they will win. Their reward will be an amazing trip to the Rose Bowl to meet a two-loss Michigan team.

Orange Bowl - USC vs. Louisville

The Trojans won’t win the South or Pac-12 due to early losses, but, on an eight-game winning streak, they will be a great candidate for a new year’s bowl as an at-large and would get a really fun match-up.

Alamo Bowl - Washington vs. Oklahoma State

The Huskies won’t reach the highest of their goals, but having just two-losses and heading to the Alamo Bowl for a big and very winnable rematch against the team that beat Petersen and the Huskies in his first year bowl game will be a nice one.

Holiday Bowl - Stanford vs. Minnesota

The other Pac-12 power who will land in a very nice spot after a rough start. The Cardinal should be on a five-game winning streak and a really attractive candidate to play in a bowl game they haven’t played in for a long time.

Foster Farms Bowl - Washington State vs. Iowa

Some really good Pac-12 teams will end up in bowls like this and it might hurt for the Big Ten. The Cougars will be a Top 15-level team heading to Santa Clara.

Sun Bowl - Colorado vs. Virginia Tech

This would be a big drop for Colorado, but some really good Pac-12 team will fall to the Sun Bowl. The good news is this will be the biggest bowl Colorado has made in around 15 years.

Las Vegas Bowl - Arizona State vs. San Diego State

The Sun Devils will win The Territorial Cup and crawl to a good bowl game for the season they had.

Cactus Bowl - Cal vs. UNLV

The Bears get into a bowl at 5-7 and get a 5-7 Mountain West program. Get excited about this one right now!
