Pac-12 bowl projections 11/23: Colorado to the Rose Bowl

Colorado makes the Rose Bowl while USC lands in the Cotton Bowl

NCAA Football: Washington State at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Rose Bowl - Colorado vs. Michigan

It has been a crazy season and a magical one where I think the Buffs take down Utah to get to the Pac-12 Championship Game and then win a rematch with Washington State. It won’t get them into the Playoff, but will get them a rematch with Michigan in Pasadena.

Cotton Bowl - USC vs. Penn State

The Trojans and Huskies will be very attractive for New Year’s bowls no matter what happens in the next two weeks. I think the Cotton Bowl would love to have a red-hot USC team against one of the four Big Ten contenders.

Alamo Bowl - Washington vs. Oklahoma State

This might seem like a disappointment given where the Huskies were at one point, but it’s the Pac-12’s top bowl after the Rose Bowl and would pit them against a beatable Top 15 opponent.

Holiday Bowl - Stanford vs. Iowa

A nice bounce back lands Stanford in a nice bowl for a rematch of last year’s Rose Bowl.

Foster Farm’s Bowl - Washington State vs. Indiana

The Cougars play two-straight games in Santa Clara. This would be their biggest bowl game since 2003.

Sun Bowl - Utah vs. Virginia Tech

Utah may have sealed their trip to El Paso by losing to Oregon at home. This would be a solid bowl game for them, but I understand why everyone still hates the Sun Bowl.

Las Vegas Bowl - Arizona State vs. San Diego State

The Sun Devils find that elusive sixth win in the Territorial Cup and end up in a bowl better than they should get.

Cactus Bowl - Oregon vs. UNLV

The Ducks get to 5-7 and a bowl invite which gets them in a bowl against a 5-7 Mountain West opponent.

Arizona Bowl - Cal vs. Colorado State

Another 5-7 Pac-12 that will get scooped up for a bowl out West if they choose to take the offer.
