Pacific Takes Top 25 11/7: four Pac-12 teams in the Top 15

Utah, Colorado and Washington State move comfortably into the Top 15.

NCAA Football: Arizona at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

1. Alabama 9-0

2. Michigan 9-0

3. Clemson 9-0

4. Washington 9-0 - The Huskies avoided a trap game at Cal, got a blowout and keep their spot up here. The Playoff committee might keep them at five, but I think they deserve the top four spot by remaining an undefeated power five conference team winning the games they should with style points.

5. Ohio State 8-1

6. Louisville 8-1

7. Wisconsin 7-2

8. Auburn 7-2

9. Penn State 7-2

10. Oklahoma 7-2

11. Utah 7-2 - The Utes finally got their week off and the table is still set for them to win the South and maybe creep into the Playoff conversation. Their run game and defense makes them a team that is built to succeed in November.

12. Colorado 7-2 - The Buffs avoided an upset against UCLA behind the strength of the nation’s most-underrated defense. They go at Arizona this week, but then the season gets really tough for the Buffs as they close at home against Washington State and Utah.

13. Washington State 7-2 - The Cougars blew the doors off of an opponent (Arizona) after having a few go down to the wire against overmatched opponents. Like the Buffs, the Cougars have a game they should win comfortably this week and then hit a two week gauntlet at Colorado and then hosting the Apple Cup.

14. West Virginia 7-1

15. Texas A&M 7-2

16. LSU 5-3

17. Florida 6-2

18. Virginia Tech 7-2

19. North Carolina 7-2

20. Oklahoma State 7-2

21. USC 6-3 - The Trojans might be the hottest team in the Pac-12 and one of the hottest teams in the country. Could this be like the 2011 USC team which caught fire with a young quarterback and went up to the Northwest and upset a top five Oregon team on the road?

22. Florida State 6-3

23. Nebraska 7-2

24. Western Michigan 9-0

25. Arkansas 6-3
