UNLV guard Jordan Cornish transfers to Cal

Cornish will have to sit out for the 2016-17 season.

The California Golden Bears have made a splash on the transfer market, landing UNLV guard Jordan Cornish.

Cornish served as a sixth man for most of the season, before injuries thrust him into a starting role. He averaged 6.2 points and 2.5 rebounds a game for the Runnin' Rebels.

Per NCAA regulations, Cornish will have to sit out the 2016-17 season, and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
