The Top Six 2016 Pac-12 tight ends: not a great year for tight ends in the conference

A down year for tight ends in the Pac-12.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

1. Kody Kohl Sr. Arizona State - Kohl was an excellent receiver for the Sun Devils in 2015, finishing with 32 catches for 368 yards and four touchdowns. The Pac-12's returning leader in receiving at the position.

2. Harrison Handley Jr. Utah - Handley is actually Utah's leading returning receiver with 286 yards and four touchdown receptions in 2015.

3. Darrell Daniels Sr. Washington - Daniels has receiver speed and he flashed some of that in 2015 with 250 yards receiving and a touchdown.

4. Pharaoh Brown Sr. Oregon - Brown was the conference's best tight end before one of the worst injuries I have ever seen took him. He is hard to peg, because he could easily be the conference's best tight end, but there is no telling how fully he will come back.

5. Dalton Schultz Jr. Stanford - The former blue chip recruit is ready for a breakout season with Austin Hooper off to the NFL. He had 121 yards and a touchdown in 2015, but is poised for a lot more in 2016.

6. Sean Irwin Sr. Colorado - Irwin had a breakout season in 2015 with 15 receptions for almost 250 yards. He should see even more targets in 2016.
