North

Oregon (2-0): The Ducks handled their business with a 44-26 win over Virginia, but a much sterner test awaits in Nebraska.

Washington (2-0): The Huskies still look the best-looking of all the bunch in the Pac-12 after wiping down Idaho, but they won’t be tested for a few more weeks.

Stanford (1-0): The Cardinal got plenty of intel on how to beat USC sitting on their couches.

Cal (1-1): The Bears showed a lot of fight this week against the Aztecs but made too many mistakes to capitalize.

Oregon State (0-1): The Beavers get an early bye week.

Washington State (0-2): The Cougars were more encouraging in this defeat, but a loss is a loss and they have a deep hole now to raise themselves out of.

South

Arizona State (2-0): Do you have any idea what to make of the Sun Devils? They can score, but they can get scored on as well.

Colorado (2-0): It’s shocking to see the Buffs as the most impressive team in the South, but admittedly their biggest test awaits them in the Big House.

Utah (2-0): The Utes won the Holy War in “how the hell knows” fashion, so they have to be pretty happy with where they stand.

Arizona (1-1): The Wildcats have to be wondering about how far they can fall. They rallied to beat Grambling but they won’t have many easy foes left.

UCLA (1-1): The Bruins recovered to get the win, but it was in hardly convincing fashion. Lot of work to do before a trip to Provo.

USC (1-1): The Trojans righted the ship with a convincing win over Utah State. But they get no breaks and hit the road to face Stanford.
