Pacific Takes Top 25 9/12: Washington climbing the rankings

Washington moves up some spots in a quiet week

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports
  1. Alabama 2-0

2. Clemson 2-0

3. Florida State 2-0

4. Michigan 2-0

5. Ohio State 2-0

6. Stanford 1-0 - The Cardinal held their spot on a quiet bye week. The real games begin Saturday though when they host USC. We will start to find out if the Cardinal have slipped a bit, or are still a Playoff contender

7. Houston 2-0

8. Wisconsin 2-0

9. Iowa 2-0

10. Michigan State 1-0

11. Texas 2-0

12. Texas A&M 2-0

13. Washington 2-0 - The Huskies did what they needed to do again in throttling a weak opponent. They sure do look the part of a Top 10 team so far though.

14. Georgia 2-0

15. Tennessee 2-0

16. Oklahoma 1-1

17. Notre Dame 1-1

18. LSU 1-1

19. Baylor 2-0

20. North Carolina 1-1

21. Oregon 2-0 - Dakota Prukop has looked good in Oregon’s offense and they very well may still be the Pac-12’s strongest team after Stanford, even with a questionable defense.

22. Mississippi 1-1

23. Louisville 2-0

24. UCLA 1-1 - The Bruins beat UNLV by 21, but that doesn’t show much and they didn’t look to completely get past their tough opening loss at Texas A&M. They will have to patch things up quickly because they play at BYU next week.

25. Miami 2-0
