#7 Stanford at #10 Washington Stanford- Both Shaw and Peterson are great coaches. The difference is Stanford has been in this situation for years, and this is the first time the Huskies have been in this type of game in a long time. Stanford in a close one. Stanford- The Cardinal will punt down three with one minute left in the game, from the Washington 20 yard line, and still find a way to win the game. You heard it here first. Stanford- My heart is telling me Washington but my head is telling me Stanford. This is the toughest game we've had to pick but Stanford proved themselves against UCLA. Washington- I can't predict against the Huskies because I need my prediction and who I'm rooting for to align, otherwise my brain will explode. Regardless of who wins this is going to be a real battle and it's going to be great. In the end it will come down to Stanford's D-line vs. UW's O-line, as well as the Cardinal injurder secondary vs. the Huskies receivers, who have become much more of a threat than anyone was anticipating coming into the season. 24-21 UW. Washington- Arguably the biggest PAC-12 game of the season, and could decide whether one of these teams plays in the College Football Playoff or in the Rose Bowl. With home field rocking, the Huskies sneak past the Cardinal in a low-scoring battle. Stanford- Washington's Offense struggled to score against AZ, so I don't think they'll be able to do enough against Stanford. The Huskies defense will slow the Cardinal down, but I think they grind one out on the road. Did you know that the birthplace of Starbucks occurred in Seattle, Washington? It's now the world's largest coffee chain. Washington- Browning seals the deal with deep plass plays and the Huskies defense forces turnovers. Stanford- If Arizon'a running offense can keep up with UW, McCaffery and company should have no problems, even in a tough road game. Stanford- Jake Browning is going to be the key in this game. We know Stanford is going to score a bunch of points. Can the Huskies keep up? I don't think they can. Washington- I had Stanford winning this game until I learned they'd be playing their 3rd string QB. Too risky to take Stanford in Seattle with your backups backup. UW hype machine rolls on.
#8 Wisconsin at #4 Michigan Michigan- Harbaugh was brought in to win these games. Wisconsin is running the gauntlet their next four weeks, and the Big House will be ROCKING. Jabrill Peppers will make a play late that seals the game. Michigan- I really wish Wisconsin would imitate Colorado and release a fake depth chart before this game, only the positions would be filled with the different brands of khakis. I can't wait to see Walmart Khakis play CB this week. Michigan- Jim Khaki pants is the best coach on the planet. There, I said it. UM is going to be too much for Wisconsin at the end of the day. Wisconsin- I'm scared they'll betray me like MSU did last week, but their defense will be by far the best Michigan has faced this season. They just feel solid and play so well as a unit despite having little star power. Name someone on Wisconsin (Not named Watt). You can't, it's impossible. 28-24. Michigan- Michigan is too strong. A lot of people still don't believe in the Wolverines but good luck knocking off a top four opponent in Ann Arbor. Not happening. Michigan- I think the Badgers run out of gas in their second straight road game against a top 10 team. I expect this to be a low scoring affair with the Wolverines narrowly getting a win. Picture a deep fried raisin bagel rolled in cinnamon sugar. What you're pictruing is known as the "Fragel" and it's an Ann Arbor specialty. Michigan- Big Blue comes out on top in a defensive grudge match. Michigan- It's time for Wisconsin to turn back into a pumpkin. Michigan- Wisconsin is not a bad football team, but are they as good as everyone thinks? I think they find their first loss this week, the first of a couple in the next few weeks. Michigan- Wisconsin got a great win in East Lansing last week, but I just don't see them winning in back to back games against the Michigan teams. Khakis Baby!
#3 Louisville at #5 Clemson Clemson- Louisville has lit it up this year, but can they go into Death Valley, under the lights, in prime time, and beat the National runner-up from last year? I don't think so. It's time for Watson to make a statement. Clemson- If you don't enjoy watching Lamar Jackson play football, then I imagine you don't like puppies, sad FSU fans, or sick TD's. That doesn't mean Louisville is going to win though. Clemson- Again, my heart is telling me Louisville but my head is telling me Clemson. Dabo can do something in big games and it's amazing. Lamar Jackson will be limited and Watson's NFL stock is going to shoot up. Louisville- I'm going to continue the streak of picking Louisville over the established ACC contenders. Clemson's 4-0, but it's a shaky 4-0, and the Cardinals dynamic offense hasn't scored less than 59 points all year. 49-28. Clemson- Deshaun Watson vs. Lamar Jackson. It truly doesn't get any better than that. The winner will score at least six touchdowns, and I think the Tigers are able to push past Louisville at home. Clemson- The Tigers will be ready for Louisville at home in a marquee matchup with huge division implications. This is where we see Clemson "wake up." Memorial Stadium was nicknamed "Death Valley"by Presbyterian coach Lonnie McMillan. After coming to Clemson and getting whipped for years, he said the place was like "Death Valley" and it stuck. Louisville- Lamar Jackson continues to prove he is Heisman worthy with another stellar performance. Louisville- I'm not going to be the idiot who picks against Lamar Jackson. Clemson- What a battle this will be. This is by far the hardest game to pick this week. Louisville has been impressive to start the season, but Clemson gets it done at home. Clemson- Only reason I'm taking Dabo in this game is that Louisville hasn't proven themselves on the road. Lamar Jackson will look human for the first time this year. Clemson by 10.
#18 Utah at Cal Utah- Utah didn't get gashed through the air last week, they got gashed on the ground. Seeing how Webb will throw 900 times in the game, I like Utah's defense to get stops. Plus Cal's D is an abomination. Utah- Have you ever played a game of madden where the team who wins is the one who manages to get a single defensive stop the entire game? That's Cal in a nutshell. Go Utes. Utah- This is a very sneaky game for the Utes. Cal's offensive firepower is very impressive but at the end of the day Utah will find a way. Utah- Cal's defense is so bad and Utah's offense gets better each week. On the other side, in high-power offense (Cal) vs. thunderous defense (Utah), we know who tends to win those battles. 38-28 Utah. Cal- Here's a game that should come down to the last possession. This won't be a popular pick, but the Golden Bears upset Utah, ending the Utes undefeated start to the season. Utah- The Utes have a defense, unlike Cal, and it will be enough to make the difference. They will control the game and prevent a shootout. Berkeley has one of the highest rates of bicycle commuting in the country. Cal- Davis Webb continues the air assault against Utah's defense. It's too much to handle for the Utes. Cal- Cal can throw the ball and Cal can score. Utah just can't keep up in this upset. Utah- Utah won't screw this up at home. Utes by a couple of TD's. Utah- The Utes defense struggled against the pass last week against USC, mainly due to the lack of a pass rush against a top 5 O-line. Utah will get more pressure on the QB this week which will lead to INT's. Utah gets the W.
ASU at USC USC- USC is a complete dumpster fire, but I don't think Todd Graham does a great job preparing his team. Going to LA, in a must win game, I think the USC receivers find a way to get open, and Sam Darnold makes some plays with his legs. USC- Clay Helton can get fired by fans on twitter an unlimited number of times during the season. If he loses this game though, he's going to be fired for real. And by fired, I mean lit on fire by the USC fan base. ASU- Both teams are bad. Oddly enough both teams are overrated in my opinion but somehow the Sun Devils ae 4-0. ASU- I could see USC winning this if the Sun Devils overlook them since they seem like such a dumpster fire right now, but I have to go with ASU for all the obvious reasons. They're gelling in all the ways USC isn't. 42-28 ASU. USC- The Trojans protect home field with a victory over 4-0 Arizona State. Tough week for the top of the PAC-12 South. USC- USC can't lose this game can they? ASU as had a nice 4-0 start, but with everything at stake here the Trojans have a roster that will win this game at Home. The film industry ended up in LA to get away from Thomas Edison. At the time, Edison, who lived in New Jersey, held most of the country's film patents. Filmmakers feld west to avoid Edison's intellectual property claims. USC- Juju Smith-Schuster lights up the scoreboard while ASU's offense finally sputters against a team that will play some defense. USC- ASU struggled in it's only road game against UTSA. USC beats Manny Wilkins up and wins comfortably. USC- The Trojans record is pretty bad, but they've played some really good football teams. ASU is 4-0, but they've scraped by in a couple of wins. Sun Devils get their first loss of the season at the Coliseum. USC- The Trojans are going to dump truck ASU, mainly because they're at home and Todd Graham sucks.
Oklahoma at TCU Oklahoma- Mayfield has struggled to this point, and another loss may be the end for Stoops at OU. I think Mayfield will make plays, and OU's defense will play well for the first time this year. TCU- Did you know that OU is tied for the worst record in the Big 12 with Kansas? Did you also know that OU is still favored by 3.5 points on the road? The Big 12 is really bad this year. TCU- OU ISN'T GOOD. I don't know how many times I have to say this. Mayfield is overrated. Their RB's are the only thing that's decent. TCU is good at football. That is all. Oklahoma- I typed in each of their names in my answer like four times before changing my mind, but I'm going Oklahoma. 38-35. TCU- Oklahoma has completely fallen off the face of the Earth this season. Remember when they were a popular College Football Playoff pick? The Horned Frogs send the Sooners to 1-3. Oklahoma- OU comes out with their backs against the wall. They will start to pick up the pieces and save Bob Stoops' job. Arlington Baptist College in Ft. Worth was once an infamous gambling hall called Top O'Hill Terrace. It's tunnels, used for escape during raids, are actually still there today. TCU- Oklahoma is simply the most overrated team in the country. Oklahoma- Two weeks to prepare gets the Sooners back on track. Oklahoma- This is going to be a shootout, defense optional type of game. TCU hasn't impressed so far and although they're at home I think OU gets the W in Fort Worth. Oklahoma- Big Game Bob will come through in this game because it really isn't a big game. Big 12 will be left out of the playoff.
Wyoming at Colorado State CSU- The Rams played Minnesota close last week. While Wyoming is on the right track, I think they're still a year away from competing in the Mountain West. CSU- I'm not going to pretend to know anything about this game this week, so I'll tell you something I do know instead: Kanye is better than Drake. Don't @ me. CSU- Colorado State screwed me earlier this year, so why not go again? Wyoming- Wyoming wins because I'm a F*%&ing maverick and I can predict whatever I want. Wyoming- I'm not going to pretend I know anything about either of these teams, I don't. Remember when Wyoming won a game this season at 2:30 A.M. eastern? That was cool. CSU- These are two mid-level Mountain West teams so I'm going with the home team. Fort Collins is known for being the major town that inspired the design of Main Street, U.S.A. in Disney World's Magic Kingdom and other Disney parks around the world. CSU- Wyoming is pretty bad, CSU is just sorta bad. CSU- The vaunted Border War. A ram would head butt a cowboy, first round KO. Hence, CSU wins. CSU- I'm not sure why we're picking this game. These two are not relevant after the first 4 weeks of the season, but I'll go with the Rams. CSU- Who Cares?
