Pacific Takes Top 25 11.27.17: USC moves into Top 10

USC, Stanford and Washington move up in rankings.

NCAA Football: Washington State at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

1. Oklahoma 11-1

2. Clemson 11-1

3. Auburn 10-2

4. Alabama 11-1

5. Wisconsin 12-0

6. Miami 11-1

7. Georgia 11-1

8. Penn State 10-2

9. TCU 10-2

10. USC 10-2 – The Trojans are officially out of the Playoff run, but their first Pac-12 championship in almost 10 years, a NY6 bowl and a shot at a second-straight Top 5 ranking are still on the table. They should get a major challenge from Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

11. Ohio State 10-2

12. UCF 12-0

13. Stanford 9-3 – Once again, the Cardinal got hot in November and now can win the Pac-12 and head to a NY6 bowl. Most-impressive was how they beat Notre Dame by 18 without having to completely rely on Bryce Love.

14. Washington 10-2 – No Pac-12 Championship Game is tough for Washington, but 10 wins and a shot at a final Top 10 ranking is a major accomplishment for the Huskies. Their loss at Arizona State really stings as it squandered a chance at a second-straight North title and Playoff consideration.

15. Notre Dame 9-3

16. Michigan State 9-3

17. Northwestern 9-3

18. LSU 9-3

19. Oklahoma State 9-3

20. Washington State 9-3 – The Cougars couldn’t get it done in the Apple Cup again and tumble down the rankings. They now have to try and avoid the bowl hangover that drilled them last year in the Holiday Bowl.

21. Memphis 11-1

22. Virginia Tech 9-3

23. Mississippi State 8-4

24. Michigan 8-4

25. South Florida 10-2
