The California Golden Bears landed a massive in-state offensive tackle (San Bernardino, Calif.), Jasper Friis. The 6-foot-7, 3-star offensive lineman tweeted out that he was committing to the Golden Bears late Monday night.

This is a huge step for the Aquinas High School tackle. Friis transferred to Aquinas a year ago from his native country of Germany. Friis started playing football back in 2013 for the Starnberg Argonauts.
Friis is still a raw talent. However, he has all the intangibles that coaches crave in developmental prospect.
According to Rivals, Friis also received offers from Dartmouth and UNLV. He also garnered interest from Boise State, BYU, USC and Washington.
Friis is the fifth recruit in Cal’s 2018 recruiting class and first offensive line prospect.
