Rose Bowl - USC vs. Ohio State
I’m sticking to my guns here. The Trojans make the Playoffs and get a traditional Rose Bowl against the Buckeyes. I think the Trojans lose a game along the way, but get in with one loss.
Fiesta Bowl - Washington vs. Penn State
Another one I am sticking to. The Huskies lose a regular season game and the Pac-12 Championship Game, making them a great candidate for a New Year’s Day bowl against a Big Ten power in the desert.
Alamo Bowl - Stanford vs. Texas
Stanford makes it to nine wins again and is the best Pac-12 team that isn’t at least New Year’s Day bowl material. The Alamo Bowl is a nice place to slide and they will get a good home state team like Texas or TCU.
Holiday Bowl - Oregon vs. Northwestern
I think the Ducks really bounce back and land in a great bowl. They will get an above-average Big Ten opponent.
Foster Farms Bowl - Washington State vs. Iowa
Luke Falk goes out with a nice bowl and eight wins in the regular season. The Cougars get another really good bowl game and get a solid opponent from the Big Ten.
Sun Bowl - UCLA vs. Virginia Tech
The Bruins and Josh Rosen bounce back. This isn’t the Rose or Fiesta Bowl, but gets the Bruins back on their feet. However, would this save Jim Mora’s job?
Las Vegas Bowl - Colorado vs. Boise State
The Buffs don’t win the South again, but they have a nice year while rebuilding their defense and replacing a veteran QB.
Cactus Bowl - Utah vs. West Virginia
The Utes will have 7-8 wins and be a very good team to fall to this bowl to take on a pretty good West Virginia team.
Hawaii Bowl - Oregon State vs. Air Force
The Beavers get to six wins and get an at-large bowl against a mid-Mountain West team.
