How the Pac-12 stacks up right not in regards to making it into the NCAA Tournament and seeding.

NCAA Basketball: Arizona State at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

March Madness is on the horizon. Let’s check in with how the conference looks in regards to NCAA Tournament selection, and seeding.

In

Arizona 20-6 (10-3)

Seed: 4-5

Quality Wins: Texas A&M, Alabama, Arizona State, at Utah, Utah, USC

Toughest remaining game: 2/15 at Arizona State

The Wildcats are the only team safely in the tournament in my opinion. They can easily move into the 2-3 seed range if they win the conference and Pac-12 Tournament.

On The Bubble

Arizona State 19-6 (7-6)

Seed: 10-11

Quality Wins: Xavier, at Kansas, at Utah, USC, UCLA

Toughest remaining game: 2/15 Arizona

The Sun Devils are a long ways down from Arizona, but next up. Those wins over Xavier and at Kansas are huge. They have to watch their backs though. They’re close to falling into the play in area.

Washington 17-8 (7-5)

Seed: 11-play in

Quality Wins: at Kansas, Montana, at USC, Arizona State, Arizona

Toughest remaining game? 2/22 at StanfordThe Huskies have shocked everyone by being one of the best teams in the conference. They are very much on the bubble, but huge wins at Kansas, at USC and against the Arizona schools keep them in for now.

USC 17-9 (8-5)

Seed: 11-play in

Quality Wins: UCSB, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Utah

Bad losses: Princeton

Toughest remaining game: 2/24 at Utah

The Trojans are fading, but their in-conference record is holding them up. They need to get some better signature in-conference wins though.

UCLA 17-8 (8-5)

Seed: Play in - NIT

Quality Wins: Kentucky, Washington, Utah, USC, at Arizona

Toughest remaining game: 3/3 at USC

The Bruins have a nice stash of big wins that could get them into the tournament and don’t have any bad losses. I think they’re in right now.

Utah 15-9 (7-6)

Seed: NIT

Quality Wins: Missouri, Washington, at Arizona State

Toughest remaining game: 2/15 at Washington

The Utes are making a push to get into the tournament. They have some nice wins, no bad losses and could easily crack 10 conference wins. They are just out for now, but they are very close.

Oregon 17-8 (7-5)

Seed: NIT

Quality wins: at Arizona State, UCLA, Washington

Bad losses: UConn

Toughest remaining game: 2/24 Arizona

The Ducks are building momentum and could easily sneak into the tournament. They’ve scored nice wins lately against UCLA and Washington.

Colorado 15-10 (7-6)

Seed: NIT

Quality wins: Arizona State, Arizona, at UCLA, Utah

Bad losses: Colorado State, San Diego, Iowa

Toughest remaining game: 2/17 at Washington

The Buffs have a decent record and a lot of nice wins, but they also have bad losses. They will have a shot at the tournament if they close strong though.

Hanging By A Thread

Stanford 13-13 (7-6)

Seed: NIT-c tournament

Quality wins: Montana, UCLA, USC, at Washington, Arizona State

Bad losses: Cal, Portland State, Eastern Washington, at Long Beach State

Toughest remaining game: 3/1 at Arizona

Stanford is a really good team that has battled injuries and simply lost a lot of games. They have a shot at the tournament if they can finish with more than 10 conference wins and do well in the conference tournament.

Oregon State 13-11 (5-7)

Seed: NIT-c tournament

Quality wins: UCLA, Washington

Bad losses: St. John’s, Long Beach State, at Kent State, at Cal

Toughest remaining game: 2/22 Arizona

The Beavers are probably done, but let’s see if they can get to 10 conference wins
