2018 post-spring Pacific Takes Pac-12 bowl projections: Washington to Rose Bowl and Stanford to Fiesta Bowl

Stanford and Washington make major bowls.

NCAA Football: Las Vegas Bowl-Boise State vs Oregon Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Rose Bowl - Washington vs. Wisconsin - The Huskies have a great shot at making their second CFP in three years, but that will be mighty tough, especially since they open with a near road game against Auburn. I think they settle for their second-straight NY6 bowl and third-straight elite bowl.

Fiesta Bowl - Stanford vs. Michigan - I think the Cardinal test the top 10 again this year and sneak into a NY6 bowl as a very exciting Jim Harbaugh match-up.

Alamo Bowl - USC vs. West Virginia - Another “down year” for the Trojans as they are good, but not great and find themselves in the Pac-12’s annual Big 12 home game bowl in Texas.

Holiday Bowl - Utah vs. Nebraska - The Utes are a sneaky Pac-12 title contender. I don’t think they get there, but 9-10 wins and a Holiday Bowl sounds right.

Foster Farms Bowl - Oregon vs. Iowa - The Ducks climb back towards the top of the conference, scoring a nice bowl game.

Sun Bowl - Arizona vs. NCState - Khalil Tate can carry the Wildcats to another solid bowl in Kevin Sumlin’s first season in Tucson.

Las Vegas Bowl - UCLA vs. San Diego State - Chip Kelly is in Westwood, but he has a lot of work to do. Getting to the Las Vegas Bowl won’t be a bad first year.

Cactus Bowl - Washington State vs. Iowa State - The Cougars are still soaring under Mike Leach, even if this is a bit of a step back.

Hawaii Bowl - Cal vs. Utah State - I think the Bears crawl to an at-large bid. Not really sure which one though.
