Pac-12 2019 NCAA Tournament stock watch 3/11: Is Oregon officially on the bubble?

Checking in on the Pac-12’s hopes for the 2019 Tournament with the Pac-12 Tournament approaching.

NCAA Basketball: Oregon at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

Washington 24-7 (15-3)

Seed: 8-9

The Huskies are the only Pac-12 team I think that’s in right now and they easily won the regular season, but something seems wrong with the Huskies as the season winds down. In their last four games they’ve lost to Cal, beat Stanford by one, beat Oregon State in overtime and only scored 47 at home in a loss to Oregon. They also lost convincingly to the conference’s number two seed Arizona State so they cannot afford to drop out early in the Pac-12 Tournament.

Next game: USC/Arizona

On The Bubble

Arizona State 21-9 (12-6)

Seed: 10-play in

I think the Sun Devils are safely in for the moment. I think they have to win at least two games in the Pac-12 Tournament to stay in though. Things could get really tricky if they lose to Oregon and the Ducks win the tournament.

Next game: UCLA/Stanford

Oregon 19-12 (10-8)

Seed: Play in-NIT

I think the Ducks have played their way onto the bubble. They’ve won four straight with a blow out of Arizona State and a strong win at Washington. I think they are actually the favorite to win the Pac-12 Tournament as a six seed, but they still might be able to get in if they lose to Washington in the final with a win over Arizona State in the semis in their pocket.

Next game: Washington State
