- Washington - I’m giving Chris Petersen, Jacob Eason, and the Huskies a lot of faith here, but I think the most-recent NFL Drafts show just how well they have developed talented in recent years and they have a ton of talent coming up in their system. Sounds like Eason was up and down in Spring, but should at least make defenses changes the way they defense the Huskies with his capabilities.
- Utah - Utah by far has the most coming back next season in the Pac-12 and should get a major shot in the arm with a healthy backfield of Tyler Huntley and Zack Moss. I could see them being like Washington in 2016, a team that sneaks up on the nation and gets into the CFP with one loss.
- Michigan
- Texas A&M
- Oregon - I think the national media overrating Oregon because of the return of Justin Herbert has caused a lot in the Pac-12 to react by then underrating Oregon. I might be one of those people. This team has grown up in the past few years and now has veterans across the board around Herbert and a ceiling that is indeed, very high. Beat Auburn in their opener and I move them into the Top 10.
- Washington State - It’s time to stop underrating Mike Leach and the Cougars and even this might be underrating them, especially considering Gage Gubrud might be a better prospect coming in than Gardner Minshew. It will be all about Guburd (or whoever wins the job) and how well they can slide into the WSU system and if their defense can stay strong in 2019. Their schedule isn’t as friend in 2019 though as they play at Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
- Auburn
- Penn State
- Stanford - Stanford is a sleeper in my opinion. They have an underrated veteran QB in KJ Costello, a defense that should be improved and a system that’s right there in consistency with Utah, Washington, and Washington State. It’s also been a long time since they haven’t won the North when they get Oregon and Washington in Palo Alto.
