The Arizona State Sun Devils have a draft prospect on the board! Christian Westerman is the first ASU Sun Devil off the board, being picked 161st by the Cincinnati Bengals. Westerman joins Paul Fanaika and Garth Gerhart as the three ASU offensive lineman alumni in the NFL.
Westerman started all 13 games this season as an offensive guard, helping pave the way for another powerful Arizona State run offense that pushed over 2700 rushing yards. ASU was also top 30 in the nation in explosive plays thanks in part to how dominant Westerman was in the middle of the field. Westerman was all Pac-12 second team in a year full of strong offensive guards out of the Pac-12 (a few have already been picked in this draft). Westerman started the last 25 years of his career at ASU at left guard after his transfer from Auburn.
ASU fans, your thoughts on Westerman getting picked?
