The California Golden Bears are sending another running back to the pros. Daniel Lasco joins a long line of Golden Bear tailbacks in the NFL which includes C.J. Anderson, Justin Forsett and Shane Vereen. Lasco was picked in the 7th round by the New Orleans Saints.

Lasco had a disappointing final season at Cal where he struggled with a pesky injury that limited his ability, but it didn't offset a solid junior campaign. Complementing the spectacular Jared Goff, Lasco's running ability helped elevate Cal's offense to one of the most deadly and effective in the nation. Lasco catches passes, knows how to handle his business in a shotgun-heavy attack, and is a very solid runner in traffic. He's one of the stronger runners in this draft and impressed in the NFL Combine with his performance to elevate his sleeper stock to his eventual selection.
