One of the big centers remaining in this 2013 class not named Aaron Gordon is close to making a decision. Kameron Rooks has offers from five schools: The Arizona Wildcats, the Arizona St. Sun Devils, the California Golden Bears, the Connecticut Huskies and the Washington Huskies.

Rooks made public comments on three schools. Arizona is one school that figures to be in the running, particularly based on the legacy the Wildcats have with his dad.

On Arizona: "I just liked the energy there. My dad (former NBA center Sean Rooks) went there, and everybody was coming up to me and was like, 'Be a Wildcat, be a Wildcat!' So it was cool. It was great energy. I loved the coaches, loved the players."

Cal is also on the shortlist just because he might like the school more than he likes Arizona.

On Cal: "I honestly like their campus way better than Arizona's. If I went there, I could get a good academic diploma."

If Washington is going to get in the mix, it might be because of how much he likes Lorenzo Romar as a coach.

On Washington: "It's a lot colder there. I really liked coach Lorenzo (Romar) -- he was the one who was showing me around the place, other than just assistant coaches. It was cool."

Rooks wants to make a decision by the end of December, so it could be coming any day now.
