College basketball top 25: UCLA, Arizona, Oregon, USC ranked after conference play

Who goes next.

NCAA Basketball: UCLA at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

2nd: UCLA Bruins (3 first place votes). UCLA appears to have their best team since their last Final Four appearance in 2008. The Bruins have perhaps close to the best offense in college basketball, and have proven they can beat good teams from anywhere. Now the conference tests begin.

18th: Arizona Wildcats. Arizona has been injured so much all season it’s hard to get an accurate assessment of their capabilities. But right now you have to figure that they have huge upside if they can get everyone back in position.

21st: Oregon Ducks. Oregon lost to the two best teams on their schedule but are still quite the threat to win the Pac-12. We’ll see what they’re capable of when they face off with UCLA in the opening week.

22nd: USC Trojans. USC went undefeated in non-conference play, but went relatively unchallenged aside from narrow wins over SMU and Texas A&M. Still, going undefeated in conference play is an accomplishment!
