College basketball rankings: Arizona passes UCLA

The Wildcats are back.

NCAA Basketball: Arizona at UCLA Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

7. Arizona Wildcats. After a slow start, Arizona has returned to form, whipping past USC and outscoring UCLA in Pauley to become one of the top contenders for the Pac-12 crown. Arizona had its hiccups in non-conference times, but now with Allonzo Trier back are they whole enough to wipe the map?

8. UCLA Bruins. UCLA has been the most impressive team in non-conference play, but its two losses place them in third in the Pac-12 so far. Will they be able to catch up with these crucial early defeats?

10. Oregon Ducks. Oregon is unstoppable at home and undefeated in Pac-12 play, which means their Saturday tilt with Arizona might give them the best chance at winning this conference. Oregon also has a weekday trip to UCLA which could prove equally crucial.

USC also received votes, although with a 3-4 Pac-12 record, their top 25 days might be over. Utah is coming on at 14-5, receiving one vote.
