Bracketology: Only four Pac-12 teams likely to make the NCAA Tournament

It’s pretty clear who’s making it.

NCAA Basketball: UCLA at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Pac-12 has been top-heavy all season, which is keeping the conference from what should have been an automatic 1 seed. The low RPI hits for beating the Oregon States and Washingtons are knocking the top three teams in the conference down. More from Bracket Matrix.

2 seed: Oregon Ducks. The Oregon Ducks have a good shot at a 1 seed if they win the Pac-12 tournament. Avoid upsets and they should be in the West Bracket as well.

3 seed: UCLA Bruins. UCLA would like to sneak their way into a 2 seed and a likely coastal bracket as well, but it might be tough for them to squeeze their way in unless they get the resume boost. Luckily, they could get Arizona and Oregon wins to boost their case.

3 seed: Arizona Wildcats. Arizona is also on the outside looking in like UCLA. The winner of the Arizona-UCLA matchup will do their best to stay in play for Anaheim and a West Coast road to Glendale.

11 seed: USC Trojans. USC is not exactly in the most comfortable position, standing just on the top of the bubble. Beating Washington could be an RPI hit on Wednesday. Beating UCLA would punch their ticket.

Off the bubble: Cal. The Bears stumbled to the finish line. They most likely have to win three games in three days to find their way back onto it.
