Pac-12 basketball 2017 All-Academic team announced

Following are the 2016-17 Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Teams, announced today by Commissioner Larry Scott. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Pac-12 All-Academic Team

FIRST TEAM

  • Josh Hawkinson (three-time honoree), Washington State, 3.42 GPA (Management operations/business administration)
  • Daine Muller, Oregon State, 3.83 GPA (Kinesiology)
  • Dorian Pickens (two-time honoree), Stanford, 3.38 GPA (Communication)
  • Gligorije Rakocevic, Oregon State, 3.66 GPA (Digital communication arts)
  • Stephen Thompson Jr., Oregon State, 3.49 GPA (Digital communication arts)

SECOND TEAM

  • Casey Benson (two-time honoree), Oregon, 3.23 GPA (General social science)
  • David Collette, Utah, 3.37 GPA (Economics)
  • Tres Tinkle, Oregon State, 3.44 GPA (University exploratory studies)
  • Parker Van Dyke, Utah, 3.42 GPA (Undecided)
  • Thomas Welsh (two-time honoree), UCLA, 3.17 GPA (Economics)
