One of the top recruits in the country hails from Seffner, Florida: Armwood safety Leon McQuay III is one of the biggest targets in the country and he's doing his best to examine all his options. One potential option? The USC Trojans.
Lane Kiffin is putting the full court press in on McQuay III. Kiffin went and saw the safety on an in-home visit in California. Then McQuay III made his second visit to USC this weekend. It's his final official visit. You have to figure USC will be in the mix whenever McQuay comes to a decision.
McQuay has been on five officials, with two to Pac-12 schools in Oregon and USC. Chip Kelly also visited McQuay last week ($). The other officials were Vanderbilt, Florida State and Michigan.
USC already has one incredible safety locked up in Su'a Cravens, who's no doubt the best recruit in California. They have two awesome corners in Chris Hawkins and Jalen Ramsey. Landing McQuay III would be an impressive haul for a USC secondary that had all sorts of problems this season, and would go a long way to improving USC and polishing off the number one recruiting class in the country.
