Consensus top five recruit Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith defensive end Josh Sweat apparently has a final five of Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon. A decision is coming at the end of the year.

Oregon has work to do on this front though.

So the Ducks will be looking for other potential options up front. Some possibilities are prospects like Orange (Ca.) Lutheran defensive end Keisean Lucier-South and Honolulu (Hi.) defensive end Canton Kaumatule. Lucier-South has a lot of interest from many places, like UCLA, Michigan, USC, Florida and Oklahoma.

Kaumatule might be watching to view the options on either side. Oregon and USC are likely to duke it out.

Also visiting: Four star Destrehan (La.) WR Kirk Merritt. Oregon is fighting with Auburn and Texas A&M for Merritt at the moment.

Hawaii offensive lineman Semisi Uluave has UCLA as his leader, but Oregon is second and is visiting for the Stanford game this weekend.

Rockwall (Tx.) running back Chris Warren has Oregon in his final list, and a decision is coming on National Signing Day.

Ducks commit and Newbury Park (Ca.) offensive guard Zach Okun believes he'll have a vital role in the Oregon offense when he arrives on campus next year.
