Chase Cota is a wide receiver out of Medford (Ore.) that has seemingly been favored to land with the Oregon Ducks for quite awhile. Cota is the 24th best wide receiver in this class according to 247Composite, and the second best prospect in the state of Oregon.
Cota released a top seven, and the Ducks featured prominently. Also in the top seven: The Alabama Crimson Tide, the California Golden Bears, the UCLA Bruins, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the USC Trojans, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Despite the lofty list, Oregon is still odds on favorites at this point, given the long-term relationship built with the university and the locality of Cota’s recruitment. Still, Cota appears to be keeping an open mind, if his latest interview with Scout is any indication.
