Pac-12 Bowl Victory Droughts: Washington State Nearly A Decade Without A Win

The Washington St. Cougars are hoping they can break their bowl drought. It's been nearly a decade since they last won a bowl game...heck, they haven't appeared in a bowl game since their last victory. They aren't the only ones in the conference that have had to wait awhile for a victory, but they're the ones that have had to wait the longest.

Here's the list of bowl victory droughts for college football teams, with the Pac-12 squads listed below. (HT to CFB Reddit).

2011

Oregon: Beat Wisconsin 45-38 in the Rose Bowl.

Utah: Beat Georgia Tech 30-27 in the Sun Bowl.

2010

Stanford: Beat Virginia Tech 40-12 in the Orange Bowl, lost 2011 (Fiesta to Oklahoma State)

Washington: Beat Nebraska 19-7 in the Holiday Bowl, lost 2011 (Alamo to Baylor)

2009

UCLA: Beat Temple 30-21 in the EagleBank Bowl, lost 2011 (Kraft Fight Hunger to Illinois)

USC: Beat Boston College 24-13 in the Emerald Bowl, on probation the past two seasons.


2008

Arizona: Beat BYU 31-21 in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Cal: Beat Miami 24-17 in the Emerald Bowl (now Kraft Fight Hunger), lost 2009 (Poinsettia to Utah) and 2011 (Holiday to Texas).

Oregon State: Beat Pitt 3-0 in the Sun Bowl, lost 2009 (Las Vegas to BYU).

2005

Arizona State: Beat Rutgers 45-40 in the Insight Bowl, lost 2006 (Hawaii to Hawaii), lost 2007 (Holiday to Texas), lost 2011 (Las Veags to Arizona State).

2004

Colorado: Beat UTEP 33-28 in the Houston Bowl, lost 2005 (Champs Sports to Clemson) and 2007 (Independence to Alabama)

2003

Washington State: Beat Texas 28-20 in the Holiday Bowl, no bowl appearance since then.
