Sean Reynolds, Block U : USC beats Arizona, Washington beats Oregon, Arizona State beats Colorado, UCLA beats Cal and Oregon State beats Washington State.
I won't give my prediction for the Utah-Stanford game.
-- USC over Ariz: I like the Trojans to rally while circling the wagons at home
-- Stan over Utah: Utah has fight, but Stanford will make fewer mistakes
-- UCLA over Cal: Cal is in dumpster fire mode on D as they replace 8 starters. It'll be over in the 2nd quarter.
-- WSU over OSU: OSU is not capable of slowing a high flying offense while WSU can probably get a few stops
-- ASU over Col: Colorado is still really bad.
-- UW over Oregon: Oregon should win, but 9 straight years is long enough. A juiced crowd, a hobbled DAT and a long-gone Colt even it up for a Husky D that has both the speed and depth to challenge Oregon's O.
Oregon over Washington - The Huskies are better, and they will soon catch the Ducks, but the Ducks simply still have too much fire power.
USC over Arizona - The Arizona offense is simply too one-dimensional and the Trojans will get that typical jolt a team always gets the game after dismissing an unpopular coach.
Washington State over Oregon State - Both of these teams will pass all over each other, but the Cougars have a defense that can stop people and home field.
Stanford over Utah. I don't like the idea of Travis Wilson going against the Stanford defense. Not one bit.
UCLA over Cal - Cal is a lot worse than I thought they would be going into the season. No way they are stopping Hundley.
Arizona State over Colorado - The Sun Devils will be hungry to beat up on someone after losing a game they should have won against Notre Dame.
Jason Bartel, Arizona Desert Swarm
UO over UW. Think the Ducks offense is just too much to handle for the Huskies.
UCLA over Cal. Cal's just not ready to win this kind of game yet.
WSU over OSU. Just a feeling. The Cougs are so much better this year than last.
Stanford over Utah. The Utes are much improved too, but not to the level where they can beat Stanford.
USC over Arizona. I have a bad feeling about this game for the Cats. The Lane Kiffin firing could not have come at a worse time for UA.
ASU over Colorado. The Sun Devils won't lose this game.
USC over Arizona - I expect USC to play loose and with extra energy now that the cloud of Kiffin has been removed. Regardless of depth concerns, they still have one of the most talented starting units in the country on both sides of the ball.
Oregon over Washington - The Huskies are close to being very good, and I expect this game to be close at least into the third quarter, but I don't think Washington is good enough to outscore Oregon in what should be a shootout.
Stanford over Utah - Utah is much better than last year but Stanford is playing maybe their best football in program history.
ASU over Colorado - Colorado is another team that is improved from last year but I don't think they can keep pace with ASU's scoring.
UCLA over Cal - Cal will get better but they are just not sharp enough to win this kind of game on the road.
Oregon State over WSU - OSU is scoring a ton of points and despite their shutdown of USC's defense, I don't think the Cougars can slow down Mannion enough to beat the Beavers. That said, I could see this game going either way. This is the game I'm most looking forward to watching after UO/UW.
Josh Schlichter, Pacific Takes
Ed O. will call a game for the ages as USC edges Arizona by a point. ASU and UCLA will take care of business against Colorado and Cal respectively. Washington State and OSU light up the scoreboard, but Sean Mannion will get the ball last as the Beavers beat the Cougs in a close one. I'll pick Utah to pull off the upset against Stanford at home, and Oregon will struggle early at Washington, then leave the Huskies in the dust in the second half.
Connor Pelton, Building the Dam
USC over Arizona - The Trojans come out fired up under the direction of Orgeron and expose Arizona.
Washington over Oregon - The Huskies will be upset after losing on a controversial review last week, and with a raucous, blacked out Husky Stadium crowd behind them, I think they pull the shocker.
Stanford over Utah - Wouldn't be surprised if the Utes won this one. They have been close in their past couple games at Rice Eccles, and this could be the time they break through. But right now, it would be silly to pick against the Cards.
Arizona State over Colorado - Home talent over road heart. Barely.
Oregon State over Washington State - The Beavers are beginning to peak, and they got super healthy over the bye week. They take the late night shootout.
UCLA over California - Blowout of the week. This is a bad Cal team.
USC -6 over Arizona. As a fan of a team that recently fired its coach in season, I can tell you that the team often breathes a sigh of relief, recenters, and plays a lot looser. I'll take USC even without Marquise Lee (or with a hobbled Lee)
Oregon @ Washington isn't showing a line @ Bovada, so I'm using that as an opportunity to pick Oregon.
Stanford -9 @ Utah. Utah's been better than expected, and is at home, but Stanford is just a much better team than almost anyone.
Colorado +25 @ ASU. Still don't care. Picking them every week.
Cal +25 @ Ucla. Cal has to score some points, right? If both teams are scoring, then 25 is a tough climb.
Oregon State +1 @ Washington State. WSU is much improved, but I think OSU wins this. Maybe under a TD, but by more than a point.
