How did the final college football rankings look for Pac-12 teams?
USC Trojans: 3rd in AP, 5th in Coaches. USC finished the season strong. If not for their slow start, they would’ve definitely been a strong playoff contender. But a Rose Bowl victory will suffice.
Washington Huskies: 4th in both polls. Washington stays firm after a solid season that saw them win a Pac-12 title. It’ll be a dogfight with the Trojans for Pac-12 supremacy next season.
Stanford Cardinal: 12th in both polls. After all the turmoil early in the season, Stanford ends up a top 15 squad. The Cardinal will be in the mix yet again for a conference title come next season.
Colorado Buffaloes: 17th in AP, 15th in Coaches. Colorado didn’t have a great ending to their year, but a top 20 finish and a ten win season went well beyond what any Buff could possibly hope for.
Utah Utes: 23rd in AP, 21st in Coaches. It’s another top 25 finish for Utah. The bigger question for Kyle Whittingham going forward is whether he can ever climb beyond top 15.
