Colorado Buffaloes coach Mike MacIntyre won the Dodd award last year to recognize the best coaching job in the nation. Who could potentially join him from the preseason watch list for this year’s Dodd award?

Stanford Cardinal coach David Shaw. Shaw has led Stanford to successful season after successful season. This will be a big job for Shaw to replace Christian McCaffrey.

USC Trojans coach Clay Helton. Fresh off a Rose Bowl berth, you’d figure that USC is in the national title hunt. Can Helton repeat his strong first full season?

Utah Utes coach Kyle Whittingham. Whittingham has been consistent for quite some time. Is this the year he breaks through and makes that title push?

Washington Huskies coach Chris Petersen. Petersen is in a very favorable position given his great coaching at UDuB. The big question is Petersen will start getting offers from outside Seattle.
