The Oregon athletics program is currently tied for 5th place in both the men’s and women’s overall Capital One Cup Fall standings, which honors the best NCAA Division I men’s and women’s athletics programs. The Ducks paved their way to 5th place due to their top ten finishes in the FBS (36 points), women’s volleyball (36 points) and the women’s cross country team’s national championship (20 points).
UCLA (soccer) and USC (volleyball) are tied for 10th place in the women’s standings, while Washington (cross country, volleyball) and Arizona (cross country) also made it into the women’s top 25.
On the men’s side, Stanford’s top ten finishes in the FBS and water polo have them in 13th place. USC’s men’s water polo championship has them in 14th place, while UCLA and Cal also earned points in water polo.
With strong performances in the remaining winter and spring sports, these Pac-12 schools have the opportunity to bring home the Capital One Cup and $200,000 in scholarship funds to their athletics department.
