USC Football: Trojans Still The Prohibitive Pac-12 South Favorites?

Should the USC Trojans still be considered the team to beat for the Pac-12 South crown?

Stephen Dunn

Who is your favorite to win the Pac-12 South? Looks like it's up for grabs at this point.

Andy Wooldridge, Building The Dam (Oregon State): Up for grabs? Based on what?

USC is still the team with the most talent, the most experience, and the most wins.

Jack Follman, Pacific Takes - USC. Arizona is the only team that right now I think has a chance to even challenge them because of their high-speed offense and I wouldn't be surprised if they give the Trojans a very good game next week.

Nick Kranz, California Golden Blogs (Cal): I have a hard time seeing how the Pac-12 South won't go to the winner of the November 10th game between USC and Arizona State, and the fact that USC is at home leads me to believe that the Trojans are still pretty heavy favorites.

David Piper, Addicted to Quack (Oregon): USC. They still have the most talent, and play Arizona State in Los Angeles.

Adam Butler, Pac Hoops & Pacific Takes (Arizona): USC has got to be considered the favorite. ASU is coming into the meat of their season and we'll learn more about whether or not they're contender or pretender. Arizona seems capable of challenging but has probably dug itself too deep of a hole at 1-3.

Trevor Wong, Conquest Chronicles (USC):
USC. Doesn't matter how the Trojans have looked thus far. They're still head and shoulders above Arizona State.

Scott Allen, Rule of Tree (Stanford): USC. If Arizona State hadn't laid such an egg against Oregon, I might give them a fighting chance to win at the Coliseum. The Pac-12 South is the Trojans' to lose and I just don't see it happening.
