The UCLA Bruins had one of those tough seasons that made them victims of a difficult schedule. They lost to the three best teams in the Pac-12 in Oregon, Stanford and Arizona State. But they took care of the rest of their business, including vanquishing their archrivals USC and beating Nebraska on the road. At 9-3, they definitely rank among the top tier of Pac-12 seasons.
The Virginia Tech Hokies had an average year. They got rolled by Alabama in their first game, then lost to the odd assortment of Duke, Boston College and Maryland. They did knock off Miami, but Virginia Tech lost to both of their ranked opponents and UCLA figures to be right up there with everyone else. Can the Bruins get themselves moving toward 2014 on a positive note?
