UCLA football recruiting: Jaleel Wadood, Jonathan Lockett, Ron Robinson updates

What positive updates emerged for the Bruins at the UCLA Elite Camp?

Stephen Dunn

The UCLA Elite Camp took place last weekend, so as you can imagine there was plenty of movement in Bruins football recruiting.

More updates: Arizona ASU Cal

Gardena (Ca.) Serra wide receiver Jordan Lasley got an offer and almost immediately committed on the spot. Bruins Nation has more on the commitment. Lasley held offers from schools like Boise State, San Diego State and Utah.

Lasley is a three star prospect, but the Serra product has a lot of upside. Standing 6'2 and weighing 185 lbs., Lasley reportedly runs a 4.4 40, and will make a formidable combination with the 6'3 205 lbs. Barry Ware at wideout. Lasley had 14 catches for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns playing for a stacked Serra team last year as a Jr., but his numbers should improve his Sr. year with the graduation of some of some of the talent playing in front of him.

Bellflower (Ca.) St. John Bosco defensive back Jaleel Wadood received a Bruin offer this weekend. Wadood decommitted from Arizona State a few days later. Wadood performed well in 1 on 1s and 7 on 7s at the UCLA camp.

Santa Ana (Ca.) Mater Dei cornerback Jonathan Lockett is set to announce at the Opening between Oregon, UCLA and Washington. Lockett is a top 50 California prospect and one of the top 50 cornerbacks. Right now there doesn't seem to be any clear consensus regarding where Lockett will end up.

Corona (Ca.) running back Tre Watson (a current Cal commit) received his offer from UCLA.

Omaha (Neb.) Millard West defensive end Harrison Phillips received an offer from UCLA. But Phillips also received a Nebraska offer and it might be hard not to keep him home.

Corona (Calif.) Santiago defensive back Ron Robinson has a UCLA offer. Robinson now places the Bruins above his former favorite Northwestern.

West Hills (Calif) Chaminade safety Joseph McIntosh also has a Bruin offer. McIntosh puts UCLA and Boise State about even and would like to commit the first week of the season.

UCLA might have trouble holding onto 4-star JC offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who might end up flipping to Ohio State.

UCLA offered Monroe (Ga.) athlete Stanton Truitt. Truitt is already totaling over 30 offers and is an ESPN300 athlete.

UCLA will get a visit from Bethlehem (Pa.) athlete K.J. Williams.

2015 Bellflower (Ca.) St. John Bosco QB Josh Rosen currently lists UCLA in his top three.

2015 Glen St. Mary (Fl.) Baker County DL Cece Jefferson took an unofficial visit to UCLA. Jefferson has offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, Florida State and USC so it might be hard for the Bruins to win this battle.

Anaheim (Ca.) Magnolia defensive back Jamal Scott put on a good performance at the UCLA Elite Camp and will head up to Washington next. Scott still doesn't have a UCLA offer but has several from around the Pac-12 ($).

Gallatin (Tenn.) Station Camp wide receiver Josh Malone also had a solid week at UCLA camp ($). Malone has offers from almost over two dozen schools.

2015 Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman tight end Alize Jones made a good impression at the Elite Camp ($). Jones holds offers from UCLA and USC.

2015 Orange Lutheran (Calif.) ATH Keisean Lucier-South also took time to reflect on the camp experience ($). Lucier-South does have ten offers, six from Pac-12 schools, including one from UCLA.
