Stanford football recruiting: Josh Rosen, Terrence Alexander, Nifae Lealao updates

The Stanford Cardinal are looking to continue to build upon their success with another strong recruiting class.


2015 Bellflower (Ca.) St. John Bosco quarterback Josh Rosen has Stanford out in front over Cal, UCLA and the rest despite the commitment of Keller Chryst.

River Ridge (La.) John Curtis cornerback Terrence Alexander has a top 4 that includes Stanford. Northwestern, Ole Miss and Ohio State round out the top.

Portland (Or.) Jesuit linebacker Joey Alfieri showcased his impressive athleticism at the Opening, posting a top ten showing in the SPARQ. Alfieri is a big fan of Stanford and went to the high school of famous two-way Cardinal player Owen Marecic.

Santa Ana (Ca.) Foothill athlete Bobby Okereke discusses his Nigerian heritage ($). Academics will play a major role in his decision.

Alpharetta (Ga.) North Gwinett running back C.J. Leggett attended the recent Stanford camp. He has offers from Pitt, UCLA, and Vanderbilt, along with several others.

Could Sacramento (Ca.) Capital Christian School defensive end Nifae Lealao be changing his announcement date ($) from the previously scheduled date at the Army Bowl? The Cardinal are considered a big favorite to land him.

Coppell (Tex.) defensive end Solomon Thomas has some interest in the Cardinal, but heavy lifters like Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Texas all are throwing their weight around in this process.
