USC. Where to begin? How would you fix the mess there?
Sean Reynolds, Block U: A new coach, of course. I've always been skeptical of Lane Kiffin and Saturday solidified that skepticism. He just doesn't have what it takes to be a legitimate FBS coach. But it's Kiffin ... I'm sure he can fall ass backwards into another high-profiled job. Maybe president in 2016?
Jack Follman, Pacific Takes: Whoa. Uh... Do they let quarterbacks transfer mid-season? If I'm USC, I try to fix it by getting rid of Kiffin as soon as realistically plausible. The guy is a great recruiter, but clearly isn't a good in-game coach and is as unpopular of a Pac-12 coach as I have ever seen. If I'm Kiffin I do everything I can to try and install an up-tempo running attack on the fly the next couple of softer non-conference games because they do have a good stable of backs but clearly can't do anything passing with their quarterbacks.
Trevor Wong, Conquest Chronicles: Forget about choosing between Cody Kessler and Max Wittek at quarterback. Just run the Wildcat formation with Tre Madden or Marqise Lee behind center. The fans will enjoy the entertainment, and the Trojans will certainly score more than seven points.
Patrick Flower, Pacific Takes: There is not a lot to this. The Trojans are a mess on offense and it starts at the top. Short of USC winning the Pac-12 you'd have to imagine Kiffin is out come seasons end.
Phil Fraser, Ralphie Report: Honestly I have no idea, so I'm just as good as Lane Kiffin, minus his paycheck and hot wife. For starters he needed to pick, um, a starter at QB and he's at least paid lip service to that going with Kessler. I also think he needs to find someone who his not him to critique his offense, and actually listen. Problem is, I think he's too thin skinned to do that. Finally, he's got to get the tight ends more involved. That is a very vague answer! Phil 4 USC Coach!
Jason Bartel, AZ Desert Swarm: Don't think they can fix it. This is who they are right now. Is it the sanctions? I don't know, maybe, but this is what they have. I went to the Sun Bowl last year, and Max Wittek just didn't look like he had any confidence then, and it's not there now from anyone now. 7 points at home against Washington State? Really?
