Stanford Cardinal: 9/1 odds
These odds seem awfully high for a Stanford team that has never gone undefeated and is losing a lot of talent from a pretty average offense. Not to mention that road schedule. I wouldn't be comfortable until I see these odds go down before making a pick on this team.
Stanford is third in overall odds, trailing Florida State (11/2) and Alabama (13/2).
Oregon Ducks: 12/1 odds
All in all, pretty decent odds for an Oregon team that will be losing a lot of defensive talent and their coordinator to boot. The offense should be its usual dominant self, but can Oregon's defensive attack stay the same?
Oregon is fifth in overall odds, trailing Ohio State (10/1).
UCLA Bruins: 25/1 odds
Here is the team I'd take real peeks at with these odds. They lose some talented defensive players and their best offensive line, but there is just a lot of talent on both sides and a favorable home slate. Everything is set up for a big season in 2014.
UCLA is tied for ninth in overall title odds.
USC Trojans: 33/1 odds
USC is returning a decent set of talent, although a few injuries here and there would make them pretty fragile. Still, when USC is operating on all cylinders they are always a tough game. Ask Stanford.
USC is tied for 17th in overall title odds.
Oregon St. Beavers: 66/1 odds
Whoa, wasn't expecting Oregon State to be this high on the list. The Beavers will be a decent team in 2013, but I'm not seeing anything that will make them even Pac-12 North title contenders.
Washington Huskies: 66/1 odds
These are really low odds, but Chris Petersen doesn't like messing around in making a team instantly successful. We'll see if he can make the Huskies instant contenders.
Arizona St. Sun Devils: 66/1 odds
ASU is losing a lot and might be running third in the Pac-12 South next season. Don't underestimate Taylor Kelly though.
Arizona Wildcats: 100/1 odds
If Arizona loses Ka'Deem Carey as expected, Rich Rodriguez and the Wildcats might have to spend 2014 in neutral. We shall see!
California Golden Bears: 100/1 odds
Wow. Cal is ahead of WSU, Utah and Colorado after a 1-11 season. Well, Bears fans have that going for them.
