Martin, who won a national title as quarterback at Tennessee, played six years in the NFL and spent the last four seasons as an assistant at USC, has proven to be an excellent receivers coach. He is considered one of the best recruiters in the country and became intimately involved in the play-calling process once Steve Sarkisian was dismissed. Most importantly, though, is that he has Helton’s trust.
