Five-star 2016 guard Rawle Alkins commits to Arizona

The Wildcats land their second five-star guard of the 2016 class.

As Arizona gets set to head to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament, they undoubtedly will have some spring in their step as 2016 five-star guard Rawle Alkins announced he'll be attending the school Monday night on ESPNU.

Alkins, originally from New York City, moved to North Carolina for his senior season. He is currently #17 on ESPN's top 100 2016 recruits.

Arizona's class is starting to come together very nicely, as Alkins joins Lauri Markkanen and Kobi Simmons, and the Wildcats still have three open spots, per Verbal Commits.

Alkins is a prolific scorer, as seen in the video below.

This commitment shows how Sean Miller's footprint is starting to reach all parts of the country, as he just stole a five-star recruit right out of Duke and North Carolina's backyards.

Arizona will need to continue to recruit well, though, as UCLA has a loaded class coming in next season as well. It will be interesting to see what both teams do going forth.
